Google ads? Affiliate Marketing?

google cpc

Ok, we have a website - about ten clicks per day and growing, and want to put up some ads where we get payed when someone clicks on it. The question is, which ads are the best? (I know AdSense - Google ads) and Which is best CPC (Cost per Click) or cost per 1000 impressions, and why?

I’m a bit confused by your first sentence. Do you mean you only have 10 visitors a day? If so, you won’t make anything until you get that up a lot higher.

You answered your first question yourself. AdSense is certainly the best place to start. As for your second question, the answer isn’t concrete. It’s simply a matter of what makes YOU the most money per 1000 impressions.

For example, if you’re showing CPC ads with a 1% CTR and an average of $0.15 per click, that works out to an effective CPM (”eCPM”) of $1.50. Compare that to the CPM rate you could get and then decide which is better.

The key to any of this is experimentation. Try different ad networks, different ad locations, different ad types. Just keep track of your changes so you’ll know what works and what doesn’t.
